Loyela Recrutement is looking for a Country Supply Chain Lead for a client operating in the mining industry and based in Kolwezi. Your main responsibility will be to support to the Supply Chain Operations Manager to ensure the country logistics operations is meeting the Supply Chain targets and requirements of the Divisions & Customer Centre.   Act as the responsible country logistics lead to secure adherence to agreed ways of working maintain and further develop good leadership and being responsible for the 4 main Supply Chain KPIs in the respective country.


  • Strategy and performance 
    • Responsible for the country warehouse operations and branches operations in order as per the supply chain standard in line with the local rule to ensure operational excellence and customers satisfactions.
    • Responsible on country level to deliver according to other main 4 KPI’s [Availability, %COGS, Transport Cost and OSMI]
    • Close cooperation and interaction with BLMs and CC teams when it comes to country supply chain operations. 
    • Coordinate the inbound/outbound, warehousing operations, physical stock management, support orders management in line with Regional Order Fulfillment Manager Process, import and export execution following Regional import and export management guidelines. 
    • Supports Supply Chain Operations Manager to ensure CC’s are following logistics principles, policies and processes of the new Supply Chain organization. 
    • Actively participate in setting performance targets, monitor and report performance and ensure that targets for the country supply chain operations are met.
    • Actively role in country supply chain project implementation as part of Excellerate Program.
    • Be the first point of contact in the respective country when it comes to supply chain operation continuous improvements. 
    • High focus on identifying and implementing operational cost saving initiatives.
  • Warehouse and 3PL operations 
    • Oversee warehouse management (pick, pack, ship, …) and implement continuous improvement in support of “Total Cost to Serve” and “OTIF Delivery”
    • Warehouse performance KPI implementation and execution
    • Responsible for Warehouse operational costs 
    • Oversee physical returns processing
    • Responsible for Area physical inventory Control in cooperation with the CC’s and Division
    • Contractual & Operational management of 3PLs (If applicable in the Area)
  • Regional Transportation
    • Manage and optimize transportation execution within the Area (inbound and outbound)
    • Manage/oversee customs processing and trade compliance in cooperation with Area and Regional Import/Export functions
    • Drive continuous improvement activities to reduce transportation cost in the Sub-Region in collaboration with local DC operations, global Supply Planning, Regional & Global Transportation
  • Order processing and expediting
    • Secure high level of performance 
    • Ensure processing of replenishment and redistribution orders to LDC, consignment and service stock locations in coordination with the Regional Inbound Replenishment Manager.
    • Provide invoicing and other documentation when applicable, in line with Regional Order Fulfillment Manager.
    • Oversee expediting and claims management
  • Inbound supply management 
    • Inbound supply planning (from RDC, GDCs in other regions and local Suppliers)
    • Call offs and close cooperation with Regional Order Fulfillment and Inbound Replenishment Management
    • Local CC supplier selection in line with sourcing guidelines
    • Local CC supplier lead-time tracking and management
  • People management 
    • Establish the country supply chain organization along with Supply Chain Operations Manager
      • Hiring, training, onboarding, coaching, optimizing etc.
    • Manage the team and increasingly coach the country teams in the delivery of the Supply Chain goals and objectives
    • Ensure proper adherence to Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Assurance policies
    • Responsible to ensure clear communication with internal and external customers.
    • Relevant supply chain report generations as requested by management team. 

Expériences et qualifications

  • Minimum 3 Years of Supply Chain Experience
  • Proficiency in ERPs. [ BPCS, GIM, among others]
  • Special Knowledge, Certification or Licenses in Supply Chain and/or Logistics an asset
  • Skillful MS Office user (mainly Excel, Powerpoint & Word)
  • Ability to give feedback and counsel employees as needed
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain processes
  • Thorough understanding of domestic and international sales order throughput processes
  • Thorough understanding in logistic and distribution processes and compliance
  • Additional Languages are considered valuable assets
